Progress

I have completed the electronic installation and control.  I am using an APM 2.6 Flight Controller, Mini OSD, 2.4 GHz Video Transmitter (500 mw), GPS and open RX (which will be replaced).    I have been configuring the flight controller and doing the final adjustments.  I will probably not maiden this plan until next season (spring) as I am in no rush.

Painting

I have been working on the Zephyr 2 (Z2) Ritewing kit  as time permits.  I have completed the basic wing and ready to start to paint and cover.  I found a great  “safe” spray paint for  EPOR foam. It’s a little expensive, but will not have issues with the foam like other paints.  The paint is called “Liquitex Professional Spray Paint” and is water based low order.  I found this a Michaels which is a local craft store.  It comes with a variety of colors as shown below.  It’s easy to apply and does not melt/shrink the foam.

I have started laminating the plane and it’s looking good.  Next step is to get the electronics installed.
